I recently posted an Orange Diaper Co review as well as a Sustainablebabyish review, and some of you were wondering how they compare.

I will not repeat all the info about each diaper; please read the reviews for all the nitty gritty. This post is simply to point out differences!

Both have serged edges at the waist elastic, but the Sbish has turned & topstitched leg elastic.

Both have nice, long wings, though the diapers have a slightly different shape.

The ODC is larger overall, though the Sbish stretches to nearly the same size.

The Sbish does seem to be cut a bit trimmer through the middle.

The Sbish comes with two, 3-layer, lay in soakers, while the ODC has a single, 4-layer bamboo-terry soaker, that snaps in, and is sewn in layers for faster drying. It is essentially the same length as the diaper, and can easily be doubled over in the wet zone.

Both worked well with Boingos and Snappis.

Both diapers are pictured on my son at the same age/weight (around 9.5 months and 16 lbs.) Both fit with lots of room to grow.

I haven’t done any pseudo-scientific absorbency testing, but both were plenty absorbent for extended daytime use for us. Each has its own features, so if you’re trying to choose, decide what cut/shape and what soaker style you prefer most!

Both diapers were received at no cost for review purposes. All opinions are solely mine.

The comparison photos were great. Have you ever tried either one overnight? If so , how did they perform?

I haven’t tried either at night, but perhaps if I do a water absorbency comparison to my current night time solution, I’d feel comfortable trying them at night. If I do, I will update! I believe that Sbish makes a different fitted that is designed for night time.

Have you shared your nighttime solution before in a previous post? What is it?

Things I’ve tried at night are super absorbent (rather bulky) fitteds with wool over top, and Knickernappies Superdo inserts, which were great…but got stinky and required bleaching, which eventually broke down the hemp. Right now I use a M/L (lavender edge) Geffen Baby hemp prefold in a pocket and I love it. I do work for the company (but I love the products!!) so I want to make sure I’ve disclosed that, but it is working great for us, and lots of other moms too!

I’ve been a ODC lover since they were scuttlebutts so I’m totally biased. Thanks for the review
