It’s the last day of the flats challenge, and I survived. He peed, I washed, I conquered.
I’ve been using the utility sink in my laundry room to wash flats, covers, liners & wipes. It’s conveniently right off the kitchen, and since no one prepares food or bathes in it, I don’t have to disinfect it every time.

Friday. Day 5 of the flats challenge. At times, it hasn’t been as difficult as I anticipated. At other times, it’s been every bit as bad as I expected! I’ve learned a lot, including that while flats dry nicely on the line,

As you may know from my washing cloth diapers post, there’s no “one size fits all” wash routine or detergent. For a long time, “the rules” have said that if you use detergents with fragrances, enzymes, dyes or optical brighteners, you would damage your diapers. Science is now showing that if rinsed out, enzymes are not likely to damage your diapers or your child’s skin.
Maria wants to live in a world where cloth diapers are the norm and moms can make parenting choices without judgement. When she’s not chasing her 18, 14 and 11-year old kids around, you might find her checking out the latest gadgets, organizing something (again) or exercising in the fresh air.
