Desert Essence Baby Products Review

I received products at no cost for review purposes. I was not otherwise compensated for this post and all opinions are my own. Desert Essence was founded in 1978 and provides natural, sustainable personal care products that are not tested on animals. They recently introduced their line of baby care products, and sent me several items to try.

cleaner

The Sweet Dreams all Natural Surface Cleaner is coconut based with tea tree oil to disinfect. It has a lavender scent and contains just 6 ingredients. The 12 oz bottle retails for $4.95. This is a great way to clean things like toys without worrying about chemicals.

lotion

The Sweetie Pie lotion was my favorite out of all the products. It is certified to the NSF standard and contains shea butter, aloe and jojoba oil. The hypoallergenic lotion doesn’t have added fragrance, but has a pleasant citrus scent from the natural ingredients. It’s non-greasy and the pump top dispenses just a pea size amount at a time for just the right amount for little bodies. A 6 oz bottle retails for $12.95.

oil

The body oil contains just 4 ingredients, including safflower, sunflower & jojoba oil. It is certified to the USDA organic standard, and a 4 oz. bottle retails for $12.95.

cleanser

The gentle foaming hair & body cleanser is olive castile soap blended with organic sunflower oil. The 8 ingredient wash is certified to the USDA organic standard. I love the pump top and the foaming formula, which rinses easily and leaves skin soft. However, I really don’t care for the smell. I’d love it if it had a scent more like the lotion. A 5.7 oz. bottle retails for $10.95.

Shop Desert Essence for these minimally formulated, gentle and organic baby products.
