5 Easy Ways to Reduce Your Environmental Impact (and Save Money!)

5. Replace incandescent bulbs with LED bulbs. Though they seem more expensive up front, I’ve done that math and determined that they “pay for themselves” very quickly! If you find your children constantly leaving lights on, install motion sensing switches.
4. When replacing appliances, shop for energy efficient alternatives. Often, there are rebates and/or tax credits available to make them as affordable as their less expensive counterparts. (I found this to be true both with my water heater and my HVAC system, both of which I’ll be writing about in the future.)
