>It is a 4.0.

Larger sizing, better hook & loop,  and easily accessible, replaceable elastic.

3 new, light pastel colors including lavender, and a snap closure option.

Whole lotta hype for nothin’!  As far as I’m concerned, they’ve “cried wolf.”  If they tell me again there is some fabulous new product, that the one size diapers are being discontinued, I will not believe them.  I’ll assume it’s just some lame new color, a tweak and a 5.0 label.  I’m not waiting around on YouTube again.

I would have been just as likely to buy if they had told me there was a 4.0 coming, it would have improvements, but be the same diaper we love.  In fact, I would have bought some just for the new closures, and I wouldn’t be peeved like I am now.  Hope it was worth it Cottonbabies.

That said, expect a review/giveaway soon.  😉  After many page loads, I managed to get an order in for a diaper for me to review, as well as a snap AND velcro closure diaper for a winner.

P.S. They also say the bright colors will be coming back, so that’s good news at least.

    >I'm right there with you. Puffery is the perfect word too.For what it's worth, the fit is supposed to be similar to the flip, and the flip seems to fit my guy pretty much the same as the BG. A touch bigger I suppose!

    >I'm really disappointed…I LOVE that I don't have to snap my BGOS's anymore, but I'm not liking the colors (and I have a girl). Tey're too light to really do anything for me, it's show every bit of dust (and I live in the desert!) and I much rather put my girl in blues and greens (reds or blacks would be awesome too!) then delicate purple, a pale noodle color and another light green…And I don't think I'm very excited about the fit change either. I have a very skinny tall baby and the BGOS is one of the only diapers I can find that doesn't leak or cause issues.Very underwhelmed after all that puffery…

    >Many of the other companies that offer both prints and solids, charge an extra $1-$3 for prints and you're right. People gladly pay it!Daisy, I agree with you. I'd be much more likely to put a girl in "boy" colors, but I don't think I'd put my son in pink or purple!I would have loved to see red, black, brown etc.

    >I love the snaps. But I am disappointed by the new colors. I would think that boy/gender neutral colors would sell better! Only girls can wear pink and purple, but both boys and girls can wear all other colors!

    >i think their reasoning behind no prints is to keep the cost of the diaper down. it really is one of the cheaper one sized options, and adding prints would probably add cost, but i'm sure that those that really really want prints would pay the difference.

    >How I feel exactly. Why wouldn't they listen to their customers? If they had prints, I would def just stick with them – as my favs – instead of looking elsewhere for cute patterns. And, HELLO! I have a boy! I don't want pastels or to paint his toenails. hmph.
