Cloth Diapers Fitted Diapers Made in Canada Natural Fiber Diapers One Size Diapers Review Sized Diapers Snap Closure

@DriLineBaby Fitted #Clothdiapers Comparison

I was confused about all the different fitted cloth diapers that Dri-Line Baby offers, so I bought one of each to compare. Ideally, I would have liked to get every size (all but one are sized) and both snap and velcro closures, but then I’d be broke. 😉

All but one of their fitteds are sized, but their size names are a bit different than what I’m used to, so pay attention to weight ranges. Ranges vary by product, but in general, small fits newborn to 8 pounds, medium is newborn to 15 pounds, large is 15-25 lbs, Extra-Large is 25+ lbs and (available on select products) Toddler fits 30+. I bought a size large for my 16ish pound, slender 9.5 (now 10) month old.

First up is the Bamboo Baby fitted, which I love.

@DriLineBaby Fitted #clothdiapers via @chgdiapers 8 @DriLineBaby Fitted #clothdiapers via @chgdiapers 6 bamboo baby

It is made of 4 layers of bamboo rayon fleece, with elasticized legs and waist. Small is preemie/newborn size fitting newborn to 8 pounds, medium is newborn/small size fitting newborn to 15 lbs, large is a medium/large size fitting 15-25 pounds (what I bought) and X-Large is a large/toddler size fitting 25+ lbs. Diapers are available in snap or hook & loop closures. I bought snap, but I wish I had bought the H&L version too.

Here is their size large measured folded and stretched, before washing and after washing:

It fit him well, but I would have liked a few extra snaps in the middle.

The diaper is super soft, super absorbent, and made in Canada like the rest of their products. I was able to find them at EcoWays.ca starting at $12.99.

@DriLineBaby Fitted #clothdiapers via @chgdiapers 12 pumkin patch

Next up is the Pumpkin Patch fitted, which is a diaper service quality diaper, made to withstand industrial washing.

@DriLineBaby Fitted #clothdiapers via @chgdiapers 13 @DriLineBaby Fitted #clothdiapers via @chgdiapers 14

The outer of the diaper is microfiber, and the inner is stay-dry polar fleece (love that feature!) Sizes are: Small (Newborn to 15 lbs), Medium (Newborn to 20 lbs), Large (15-25 lbs), X-large (25lbs and up.) I bought large, but I think the medium would have been fine too.

Here is the large measured folded and stretched, before and after washing.

Here is my 16ish lb son (just under 10 months old) in the size large:

@DriLineBaby Fitted #clothdiapers via @chgdiapers 18-5

The diaper was absorbent, and I love the stay dry inner. I wouldn’t use it coverless though, because the feeling of microfiber on my hands creeps me out. *shudder* I found them in stock at Discount Dipes for $89/10 pack.

Next up is the Diaper Service Quality fitted.

@DriLineBaby Fitted #clothdiapers via @chgdiapers 20 @DriLineBaby Fitted #clothdiapers via @chgdiapers 21

The outer of this diaper is polar fleece, which makes it more water resistant than other fitteds. The inner is white stretch terry, and it has a soaker pad sewn in that is cotton/rayon. You can see/feel the soaker pad, it almost looks like a maxi-pad sewn in. Sizes are small (newborn-8 lbs), medium (newborn-15 lbs), large (15-25 lbs) and XL (25+.)

Here is the large measured folded & stretched, before and after washing: (No, it didn’t grow in the wash, I just pulled the center out more in the 2nd picture, while I pulled it straighter in the first!)

I liked where the rise of the large hit my son (I prefer a higher rise), but since my son is slim, I could use extra snaps/an overlap. I still made it work though since it was covered, but it would be nice to use coverless! I’m sure I could if I went down a size.

I wasn’t able to find these in stock at retailers.

@DriLineBaby Fitted #clothdiapers via @chgdiapers 26 form fitted

Next is the form fitted.

@DriLineBaby Fitted #clothdiapers via @chgdiapers 27 @DriLineBaby Fitted #clothdiapers via @chgdiapers 28

These are an economical fitted, made with 6 layers of 100% cotton flannelette. They are available in white, or assorted prints, including a blue dog print and this polka dot print. You can choose snap or hook & loop closures, and they are available in 5 sizes: small (nb-8 lb), medium (nb-15 lb), large (15-25 lb), x-large (25+ lb) & toddler (30+ lb).

Here is the large measured folded & stretched, before & after washing:

Again, my son was around 9.5ish months old and 16ish pounds here in the large.

Sorry about the pink buddy, but this diaper is cute! DiaperSupply.ca has them for $7.50 each.

The last diaper is the one-size snug-to-fit supreme.

@DriLineBaby Fitted #clothdiapers via @chgdiapers 34 @DriLineBaby Fitted #clothdiapers via @chgdiapers 35

They are available in white or prints, with snap or H&L closures. They are “one size” via a snap down rise, and are made of flanelette with sewn in terry soakers, plus a flap soaker.

Small measured folded & stretched:

I also measured just the large after washing to show shrinkage:

I put my son in the medium setting:

I found these at Basically Baby for $10.99 each.

I love the Bamboo Baby fitted, especially for the price. The Snug to fit diapers are not made of fancy materials, and probably not night time diapers for most, but they are cute, fit well, and are very affordable!

I purchased the pictured items at a discount. I was not asked to write, nor was I compensated for this post, and all opinions are my own. I do have a business relationship with the manufacturer.

    Thanks Maria! I just worry about resell value of these diapers since the brand is not very well known 🙁

    thanks for the review!! It was very helpful. I haven’t been able to find other reviews of the dri-line products but are very curious to try them! Love that they are made in Canada. How do you find the absorbency and durability of the diaper service fitted? I found some at a retailer for $6 each and would like to use them for my newborn come June 2015!

    I know this is an older post, but your reviews of the Dri-Line diaper products (which seem to be a well kept secret) are VERY helpful.

    I want to buy some additional fitteds for my stash, in your opinion which would you choose if you only could go with one: the Form Fitted (the one from DiaperSupply.ca) or the Semi-Fitted (from your other review)?

    Thanks!

      The semi fitteds are inexpensive but I like the bamboo baby or form fitted better!
