ES Baby 1

ES Baby 2

I’ve been using two esbaby all-in-two diapers, along with a variety of soakers for about 2 1/2 months. I received one diaper with a printed outer and hidden layer of PUL and one with a solid PUL outer. I received hemp, bamboo and sherpa soakers (topped with bamboo) in addition to the poly cotton sherpa soakers (topped with microfleece) that the diapers came with.

Christine hand crafts all of her products, and they are beautifully labeled and tagged.

The diapers I received are side-snapping, and come in two sizes. Size 1 fits newborn/small sizes (up to 15 lbs) and the size 2 I received fits the medium/large range, from 15 pounds through about 25+/potty learning. However, esbaby makes lots of other products including sized, one-size, multi-size, side snapping, front snapping, touch tape, fitteds, night time fitteds, covers, mama cloth and more. She has specialty sizes like medium long and XL available, and you can even send her your child’s measurements to have a custom diaper made.

ES Baby 8 inserts are sewn down the middle to dry quickly ES Baby 9 black nap 5 hemp fleece topped w bamboo velour

The inserts can snap in the front or back of the diaper, and they are sewn down the middle vs. all the way around, so they dry more quickly. The black edged insert is a great nap time insert made with 5 layers of hemp fleece topped with bamboo velour. The white is 4 layers of organic cotton sherpa topped with bamboo velour, and the yellow is 5 layers of bamboo fleece topped with bamboo velour.

The inserts are trim through the middle, but offer full diaper coverage.

Each diaper came with a soaker made of 4 layers of poly cotton sherpa topped with microfleece, and a 2 layer doubler also topped with microfleece. The soakers are color matched to the diaper inner.

To switch between medium and large, you simply snap or unsnap the rise. The snap is at the bottom of the diaper rather than on the front, which I find makes the diaper a bit more trim.

When I received the diaper, my son was not yet 7 months old, and was under 15 pounds (technically too small for the size 2), which is what you see in the following photos:

Since this particular diaper does not have a PUL outer, it is important to fold the soakers up first, then wrap the wings around & secure them. My instinct is to pull the wings around, then pull the front of the diaper up and secure it. However, if you end up with the soakers touching the outer, it will wick (obviously!) When I put the diaper on properly, I had no trouble at all!

In my opinion, these are not “trim” diapers however, they are unbelievably absorbent. I can leave either diaper, with any of the soakers on longer than usual, and the shell is often bone dry & ready for a clean soaker!

Below, my son is wearing the black edged soaker, which is 5 layers of hemp fleece topped with bamboo velour. This is probably my favorite of the soakers, because hemp is so absorbent for it’s thickness.

Next is the white edged soaker, which is 4 layers of organic cotton sherpa topped with bamboo velour:

Last, the yellow edge soaker; 5 layers of bamboo fleece topped with bamboo velour.

Christine offers one of a kind diapers and great prints. A size 2 AI2 diaper sells for $20, and additional soakers are $5.

Other esbaby products range from $11 for size 1 fitteds up to $35 for a size 2 ultra dry lights out night time fitted diaper. Check out the esbaby gallery for lots of drool worthy fluff photos!
