Although I love to bake, and typically make my pies from scratch, I had the opportunity to try Mrs. Smith's Signature Deep Dish pies.

Mrs Smiths Pies 1

Pies are available in 4 varieties: Signature Deep Dish Dutch Apple Pie with Caramel Sauce, Signature Deep Dish Cherry Pie with Butter Fudge Sauce, Signature Deep Dish Peach Pie with Cream Cheese Icing  and Signature Deep Dish Pumpkin Pie with Cream Cheese Icing. I was pleasantly surprised to see that although the pies contain vegetable shortening, there is 0 trans fat, and no partially hydrogenated oils.

The pies are very easy to make, but do allow approximately 3 hours to bake and cool. The apple pie was my family's favorite by far. The topping made it almost like an apple crisp, and the caramel sauce made it even yummier. My husband loved that the apples were still crispy after baking, but adding bake time (I baked for the minimum) would leave them softer.

My son loved the chocolate sauce included with the cherry pie!

The peach pie with it's crisp and not-too-sweet peaches was a crowd pleaser.

The pumpkin pie was my family's next favorite after the apple. It was creamy and not dry, and tasted a whole lot like my homemade pie!

I would love to try their peach pie!
I think I would get either a few silicon spoons or wooden spoons. I could really use those to keep from scratching the pans. Or I might get some grilling planks and a pit grilling mit or some long handle grill tools.

cherry pie! I do not grow cherries, so it is one pie I just don’t make often, and I LOVE cherries! At Williams-Sonoma, I would put the money towards a new blender or some stainless steel baking pans. NOTHING is like stainless, I’m on mission to replace all my inferior pans with Stainless steel ones.

I’m not sure. I love pumpkin, but I’ve had a lot of pumpkin given the recent holiday so I would probably go with the cherry pie. As far as Williams and Sonoma, I love their peppermint bark!
