Sustainablebabyish Sized OBF Cloth Diapers vs. Snapless Multi & Happy Clouds

In October, I posted a Sustainablebabyish Snapless Multi fitted review, and in November I attended the Sloomb Soiree and posted my Sustainablebabyish Happy Clouds review. I won one of the giveaways at the Sloomb soiree, for a large Organic Bamboo Fleece (OBF) fitted!

I was initially confused by Sbish’s description of their soakers (and these fitteds) as organic bamboo fleece (OBF) because they look and feel like jersey to me, but the website description says it is OBF with the “jersey side out.” I prefer jersey over the terry of the snapless multi and happy clouds, but that is just personal preference.

The sized fitted diapers come in XS (5-11 lbs), small (9-16 lbs), medium (14-22 lbs), large (22-32 lbs) and XL (32+ lbs), while the snapless multi fit 10-35 lbs with a mini o/s fitting 5-15 lbs. The happy clouds size 1 fits 7-15 lbs and the size 2 fits 15-35 lbs. As I pointed out in my happy clouds review, the size 2 is nearly identical in size and cut to the snapless multi. The sized are a bit different.

The sized fitted has snap closures with an overlap, front and rear elastic, and serged (vs. turned & topstitched) leg elastic. The soakers snap in front, and the diaper includes a large, 3-layer doubler.

The large sized fitted (natural) has a more generous cut than the snapless multi (green) or size 2 happy clouds (gray.)

The sized diapers retail for $24.95 for XS-L and $28.95 for XL. Snapless multi fitteds are $20.95 and Happy Clouds are $29.

Here is the large fitted measured folded & stretched after being washed & dried 3-4 times:

My son is only about 17 pounds at not quite a year old, and is slender, but the large did fit him. I folded the doubler over and placed it in the wet zone, and used the diaper coverless for 2 hours before moisture soaked through the wet zone.

I prefer the more generous cut of the large, as well as the jersey material, and despite size recommendations, I feel the large will fit longer than the snapless or happy clouds. Of course, if you are buying several sizes, it would quickly get expensive! Surprisingly (to me anyway!) I prefer the snapless design since it is quick & easy for me to get a great fit.

Have you tried any of these diapers? Which is your favorite?

I won the featured diaper in a giveaway, purchased the happy cloud diaper, and received the snapless multi as a review item. I was not asked to write, nor was I compensated for this post, and all opinions are my own.

[…] can also find fitteds and prefolds in extended sizes. Sustainablebabyish makes an XL, and Geffen Baby’s snapless large fitteds will fit a wide range as well. […]
