Quickly, easily & inexpensively make custom baby shower invitations.

You will need:
- Cardstock
- Scrapbook paper
- Vellum
- Scissors or a paper cutter
- Glue or double stick tape
- Brads or ribbon
- A hole punch or ribbon punch (optional)
- A printer
- Envelopes & postage
Cut cardstock 5×7, scrapbook paper 4×6 and vellum 4.25 x 6.75. (I prefer this size because it fits nicely and causes minimal waste.)
Center the scrapbook paper on the cardstock and glue. If you are using regular glue, use caution. A heavy hand will cause the paper to wrinkle. I prefer to use paper glue or double stick tape.
In Word, select page layout, size, more paper sizes.
Select custom page size and enter the dimensions of your vellum. Type the info you’d like on the invitations & print. Lay each page separately until the ink dries. Alternately, you can hand write on vellum, but know that some pens don’t write well on vellum, and others may bleed. Look for vellum pens at the craft store, or test on scrap pieces.
Line your vellum up, and affix with a decorative brad or ribbon.
The possibilities are endless, and you can often find paper that matches your theme.
I highly recommend that you take these invitations to the post office to mail. Some of the bulkier brads can require hand canceling, which requires additional postage.
You can further personalize the invitations by layering a photo under the vellum. Use removable photo tape so the recipient can remove and keep the photo.
Though these are Christmas cards, you can see that you can completely customize these cards, and they can be quite lovely!
