Breastfeeding & Baby Products – News & New Stuff from ABC
I photographed these products with permission at the ABC Expo. I was not asked to write, nor was I compensated for this post, and I paid my own way to the show. All opinions are my own. In addition to cloth diapers and cloth diaper accessories, there were lots of great products for mom & baby at the ABC Kids Expo.
Sarah Wells Bags has a new “Annie” breast pump bag made of man made leather, available in dazzling blue or black, and retailing for $165.
I’m partial to the “Lizzy” bag which is made of nylon and has a bargain price of $89.99. The bags can expand or snap down to be super versatile for everything. I think these would make a great cloth diaper bag!
Sarah is somewhat local to me (Northern Virginia) so I was really happy to meet her!
Undercover Mama, MilkMakers, Hadley Stilwell & Juno Blu teamed up with Bamboobies for the ultimate pregnant & nursing mama booth.
In addition to their much loved nursing pads, Bamboobies showed me their nursing shawl, nipple balm, belly butter and hot/cold soothing pillows.
New products include their nursing bra and camisole.
I like the way the nursing cami has structure and support without a shelf bra or underwire, and has adjustable straps.
Halo has a new bassinest with one fewer pocket, without the electronics and with a $20 lower price point.
They also have cute new prints for their sleep sacks!
The Arm’s Reach booth was busy when I went by, but I spied a few co-sleepers that were new to me.
It looks like they have new mini, contemporary and sleigh styles.
Bumkins has lots of great new prints for their bibs, snack bags and wet bags.
The Disney prints were new earlier this year, but I missed them somehow!
New products include teethers, place mats and reusable ice packs.
SPBang‘s snack bags aren’t quite like any others I’ve seen.
They are made of FDA food safe santoprene and are dishwasher safe & made in the USA.
Thinkbaby gave me a tour of their feeding accessories which include a wide array of bottles, straw cups and sippies in both BPA free plastic and stainless steel. You can switch from bottle to sippy to straw without abruptly changing the look & feel of the cup for your child. Best of all (in my book) the straws are replaceable. (Woo hoo!)
They also have a great line of snack & food storage containers.
Their sunscreen is rated #1 on EWG, and they have a baby skincare line (lotion, body wash/shampoo & bubble bath) that is available in a giftable set.
This Summer Infant display demonstrates that coats are not safe in a car seat.
Their car seat coat is a cross between a coat and a poncho, and snaps up the back so you can buckle the harness beneath it with nothing under baby’s back. With a hood but no sleeves, it it probably a good choice for climates without bitter-cold winters. It will be available in the tan with the bear hood, a pink fleece that is reversible to animal print, and a sherpa puffer. The MSRP will be $29.99 and it should be available in late October. (Check out Cozywoggle if you need a heavier coat that is car seat safe.)
Boba unveiled their co-branded carrier with the Baby Guy NYC and it’s a great looking carrier. I like the subtle and chic color/pattern, orange accents and hashtag. This will be available for purchase on Monday September 15th.
The Eyla’s Imports booth was enormous and I was able to chat with Matthieu from Healing Hazel, got a tour of all the great EcoVessel products they distribute, and checked out all the new Zen Rocks designs.
I think my favorites may be the “elements” designs.
The company is now distributing Egg Kids products (somebody give that poor display kid a spine, amirite?!)
The line has fun characters who each have their own personality and story. The Swedish brand has clothing, accessories, toys and even bedding with the characters.
Eyla’s sent me home with some Egg Kids temporary tattoos for my kids, and they love the characters.
What do you think of all these non-cloth diaper new releases?
[…] I attended ABC this fall of course most of the cloth diaper brands were grouped nearby in the Natural Baby area. Plenty of […]
The SPBang snack bags are definitely interesting! I might have to a little more looking into those! Thanks so much for showing us all these great products!
Oh, and those Halo bassinets have been on my mind ever since I saw them!!! I didn’t realize the price was lowered; I still think it’s pricy! 🙂
Wow , so much to see!!! I really like is the blue “Annie” bag. Even though back is timeless, I prefer a pop of color! I am a soon to be first time mom, and didn’t know that coats are not safe in a car seat. I’m loving the SPBang’s snack bags!! Thanks!
