When I first heard about EC (elimination communication) years ago, I didn’t get it. I didn’t research it, it just sounded more like parent training! Later, I read quite a bit of info and it made perfect sense. babies don’t want to soil their diapers, and if you watch for their cues, you can “catch” waste on the potty.
Many cultures don’t rely on diapers, therefore they don’t have to train their children to use diapers, then un-train them in 2-3 years! I wish I’d known about it 8 years ago. I haven’t tried EC since I don’t have the time to dedicate (though it does not have to be all or nothing!)
