Do you need cloth diaper help? Every Monday, I answer a question and ask readers to weigh in.
Questions don’t have to be cloth diaper related, just email maria at change-diapers.com with “Mailbox Mondays” in the subject, or fill out my contact form for readers, which you will always be able to find on my Contact Page.

I have a very heavy wetter…any input like what inserts to use and if using different kinds what order to put them in and what style of diaper you suggest for heavy wetters…
For a heavy wetter my suggestions are always hemp and/or fitteds and wool. I’ve had great success with Knickernappies Loopydo and Superdo inserts however, they get rather stinky over time, and since they are hemp attached to microfiber, bleaching them repeatedly will damage the hemp.
Hemp prefolds (folded around baby or in a pocket diaper), hemp inserts in a pocket, or hemp inserts combined with a prefold or fitted diaper are excellent for heavy wetters, since hemp is super absorbent. If you need help with a quick and heavy wetter, try putting microfiber on top of the hemp (though not touching your baby.) The microfiber will quickly absorb wetness, and the hemp with lock in in!
What’s your solution for a heavy wetter?
With our son we used: Pocket diapers, inserted a microfiber pad on top of 1 hemp pad, and sometimes added an extra hemp doubler.
I’ve heard great things about zorb, but I have yet to try it.
Good luck
