Every Monday, I will answer reader submitted questions, and ask you to add your opinions.
Questions don’t have to be cloth diaper related, just email maria at change-diapers.com with “Mailbox Mondays” in the subject, or Fill out my contact form for readers, which you will always be able to find on my Contact Page.
Today, I just want to ask for your advice. Are you happy with the info I provide here (the site in general?) Are there features you’d like me to add?
I know everyone likes a good giveaway, but I want the site to be a resource for you, not just a place to get free stuff.
How about the YouTube videos, are you finding them helpful? Are there videos you’d like me to add to the ChangeDiapers YouTube channel?
I do have a list of diapers I’d still like to review, but since I don’t really “need” any more diapers, it’s hard to justify the budget expenditure!
Are there any diapers you’d like to see me review? You can check my archive of cloth diaper reviews of course, in case I’ve already done it. Or, are there diapers you’ve seen reviews of, but you still want more information, close-up photos of specific features, etc.?
Let me know y’all! (Me pretending to be southern, ha.)
>I definitely wasn't fishing for compliments, I hope it didn't come across that way! 🙂 Very glad it has been helpful to you!Don't worry, my son has shown zero interest in the potty! My daughter was partially potty trained (her own doing) at this point, but my son hasn't gone once. He's only sat on it once without clothes!
>LOVE the BLOG and YOU!You're reviews are super informative and I know I keep harping on it, but I love that you take your own photos, and a lot of them. (cut and paste pictures from the companies website does not count as a review photo.) :)I actually was able to help a friend look into the GoGreen pocket diapers a while back. I never would have heard of them, but then you had the two reviews for the different styles. Thanks to your review, I had some information and a great blog to send her too!My only problem is that I am a fitted and cover mama. 🙂 I seriously remember thinking that pockets were a waste, when I first started looking into cloth diapering, cuz you only got one use out of it and then needed a whole new one! Covers could last you all day and you only needed to change the inside diaper. 🙂 I'm still a fitted/cover lady, but I have pockets for night time with my son and AI2 for my daughter for night time. keep up the great work! (is it wrong to be sad when your son potty trains and you don't need diapers anymore?) 😀 hahaha!
>Becca – agree with Maria re: hanging wet bag! My hubby simply hammered a couple nails into the side of our change table and it's working perfectly! Granted our baby is still EBFing so the bag isn't too smelly yet – we'll see how this method stands up once she's on solids! In terms of particular wetbags, we have two Bummis extra large fabulous wetbags which we alternate. Love them!
>Becca, a kitchen size trash can with a pail liner works great. You can get the lidded kind, but I find keeping the air circulating means less stink. I just use a large hanging wet bag!Maria, check my review archive http://www.change-diapers.com/p/review-archive.html I did a comparison between the 3.0 & 4.0 that shows a lot of features, plus I did an organic AIO review.Samuel's Momma, I don't do a lot of stuff other than diapers because when I do, I don't seem to get much interest at all!Hillary, I don't mind repeating myself. I'm trying to get everything here and easily accessible in the post highlights and review archive areas, so the info is easy to find for new visitors!
>The reviews are super helpful for me as I try to make decisions about what diapers to buy for our little bun (due in May). I have a question – What kind of diaper pail should I use for cloth diapers? Should I do the usual diaper genie, or does something else work better for cloth? I'm clueless. Thanks!
>I love your site!!! It is oh so informative, and of course, all the giveaways! 😀 I'm actually composing a blog post about where to enter giveaways, and I was planning on adding a link to your blog. One thing I would love to see is a review of a bumGenius diaper. I NEVER see bG reviews online because I guess everyone just assumes that every good CD'ing momma has a stash! So maybe I'm the only person in the world that doesn't own a bG, but I've always been curious WHY they're such a CDing staple and what their unique features are. You might already have a post up somewhere about that, and I just haven't seen it.
>I absolutely love your blog. Definitely the only one I follow religiously! As much as I love the diaper reviews and giveaways, I kinda miss seeing some of the other natural product reviews that you used to do a little more often. Because of the age of your son, your diaper days are numbered. Reviewing "green" products may be where you find yourself headed.I really like the addition of the videos. I'm sure it's helping many people! As for diapers to review, I can't think of any that I want to see right now. My son is now 16 months old and I have stopped buying lots of diapers. He is our first, so I'm sure I will begin buying diapers again eventually, but for now, I really can't think of any.You are doing a great job! Just keep having fun with it!
>I love your blog! I love all of the different reviews of all of the different diapers.. Helps me see what works, what features i like and don't like, what you recommend, and prices, too!! I know you probably feel like you're repeating yourself sometimes, but new people join all of the time, so.. The only suggestion i have, if you haven't done it yet, are cheap alternatives to what we ideally would use. Like diaper sprayers vs. squeeze bottles, or alternative ways to hang diapers to dry in colder season, etc. 🙂 Keep up the awesome work!!
