After sitting in on part of the diaper service day at the RDIA conference (before ABC) last year, I realized how little I really know about diaper services, and I’m sure I’m not the only one. For the past 5 years, Emily Weixler McCay has been the fairy behind the Louisville area diaper service that is anything but ordinary. Emily agreed to take some time out of her busy schedule to give us a peek behind the scenes of a diaper service, and answer all my questions.

The 5th Great Cloth Diaper Change is coming up very soon, on Saturday April 18th! If you don’t follow the Great Cloth Diaper Change Shepherdstown Facebook page, you may have missed announcements about vendors and other fun stuff. The event will be in half of the Shepherd University Arena (at the Wellness Center – 164 University Dr.) and we will have lots of space. Doors will be open from 9-1 but make sure you’re there by 10:30 if you are participating in the change. Important directions note: University Dr. is directly across from the Sheetz and beside the BB&T on Martinsburg Pk. If you are using a GPS, do not use the facility address. Instead use: 8327 Martinsburg Pk, which is BB&T’s address. Then turn on University Dr and follow the road back to the Wellness Center.
