Photos of parents publicly shaming their children go viral in an instant. I want to publicly praise my daughter for her hard work on her multiplication facts with me over her Christmas break. Thanks to her persistence, she received a 100% on her 3 minute timed facts test.
At the risk of looking like I’m exploiting my child (I’m not, she is dying to be “famous,”) can praise go viral like shame?
Should I “make” her wear an “I worked hard and got an A+” sign around her neck while I take her out for ice cream? 😉
you know I wouldnt make a sign but i would be sure to tell the person at teh ice cream counter what you are celebrating. you might get an extra dip out of it 😉
I was so afraid to read this post when I saw the line about public shaming of kids, but someone near and dear to me told me to make sure I read this blog post. I agree, take her out for ice cream and hang that sign on her! You should wear one too for helping her study her math facts. Bravo!
Now there’s something worth being famous for! Way to go!
That’s great!! Good for her! I hate the photos of kids being publicly shamed 🙁
Woo~hoo! Way to go!
DO IT! MAKE HER WEAR A SIGN AND TAKE HER FOR ICE CREAM! I would … there are alot of seniors at the dairy queen local to me – im sure she’d feel like a celebrity with all the praise given !
Awesome job! I’m going to like this post to help you guys out 🙂
Whoooooo! Good job! That is awesome!
