Quite often, we’ve seen Pantone colors crop up in cloth diaper color trends. I was chatting with a mom at gymnastics about clothing and when she complained about recent color trends, I asked if she’d ever followed the Pantone colors of the year/season. I pointed out that since keeping my eye on them, I was able to predict what I’d see in the stores. I don’t think she’ll be happy to see more gray! I managed to keep it not-weird by avoiding comments about cloth diapers, though I started to comment about all the gray diapers released when she complained about so much gray in the women’s clothing stores!

Aquamarine, Scuba Blue, Lucite Green, Classic Blue, Toasted Almond, Strawberry Ice, Tangerine, Custard, Marsala, Glacier Gray
I’m really hoping to see some Scuba Blue! I think Thirsties Ocean Blue is pretty close but not quite. Marsala is the color of the year so I’m sure we’ll see some of that!
Classic blue reminds me a bit of Bumgenius Stellar. I didn’t get much more than a quick glance of it at ABC but it seemed not quite as dark as it appears in stock photos. Jolly could almost be Custard, though it’s a little more “tennis ball” colored.
Glacier Gray isn’t far from some of the grays we’ve seen recently, though it seems to be more Thirsties Fin and less Applecheeks Steel Me.
I really want to “paint” some diapers with these colors in a photo editor! I decided not to since I know how crazy some fans can go, taking photos out of context & passing them off as the real deal. (Not that my photoshop skills are that good, ha!)
