I received a product at no cost for review purposes. I was not otherwise compensated for this post, and all opinions are my own. In May, I published my Yummi Pouch reusable food pouch review. My kids still love them (my 2 year old will ask for a “yogurt squeezy thing” at snack time.) We used them in my daughter’s lunches for the last month of the school year also, and they have held up fantastically. Yummi Pouch offered to send me their newest products, the cloth snack bag, cloth sandwich bag, and everything storage bag.
We’ve been using reusable snack/sandwich bags for the past 5 years and though they are initially more expensive, they are a great investment.
Yummi Pouch’s bags are water resistant, made of BPA, phthlate, lead and PVC free nylon and can be washed in the dishwasher or washing machine.
I love that they can be machine washed! We have another brand that can’t go in the washing machine, and they are looking a little worse for the wear because of it.
The zip closure keeps your goodies inside, makes it easy for kiddos to open and close, and means no Velcro snagging things in the wash (or wearing out.)
The slick inside makes it easy to just wipe it out if not soiled enough to require washing.
Snack bags measure 4×7″, come in adorable patterns, and retail for $5.99 ($4.99 on their website.) This makes them considerably more affordable than the brand we were using, particularly if you grab a set of 3 for $12.99.
Sandwich bags measure 7×7″ and come in the same 6 patterns to match the snack bags.
They are generously sized to hold even the heartiest sandwiches. No smooshing required. The sandwich size bags retail for $6.99 (currently $5.99 on their website,) and you can also grab a matching sandwich/snack bag set for $9.99.
If you’ve ever used a wet bag for your cloth diapers, you’ll understand the concept of the everything bag. Measuring 12×16″ and available in 2 prints, the bag is a large version of the snack & sandwich bags.
8 cloth diapers was a tight squeeze, but they fit. 6 might be a better choice!
The everything bags remind me very much of other wet bags I’ve used, except that it has a nylon interior rather than PUL. This would be a great bag for, well…everything. Picnic goodies, transporting sand toys, wet swimsuits, smelly gym clothes, whatever. The bag is affordably priced with an MSRP of $12.99 ($9.99 on their website.)
Though we’ve used the snack & sandwich bags around the house, they’ll be put through the wringer when my son starts school in the fall. I’ll let you know how they fare!
