Geffen Baby XL/Toddler Hemp Prefolds (Review)

I received these diapers as part of my monthly club subscription, which I purchased myself. I love Geffen Baby’s hemp prefolds; I use the M/L in a pocket as a night time diaper. (side note that I also work with Geffen Baby – for full disclosure!)

The XL/Toddler size (navy edge) are even larger. Here they are measured before & after prep:

The XL is large enough to pin/Snappi/Boingo on even a very large toddler or preschooler. Trifold them the long way and put them in an XL/toddler size diaper, or, fold them like I did:

I folded them in half and in half again, getting 16 layers of 60% hemp/40% organic cotton throughout.

Folded this way, they were the same length as my M/L prefolds, and fit perfectly in my son’s medium diapers.

Now obviously, 16 layers means this diaper isn’t as trim as the 12 layers of the trifolded M/L, and my son was a little “bootylicious.” 😉

Even so, it was more trim than some other combinations of fitteds, soakers & covers I tried on my older son when he was soaking through everything, and also far, far less expensive. For now, I’ll stick with my M/L but I like knowing that I have these as an option if he starts wetting more at night!
