Up On the Hill is my local natural family boutique, and the owner has been a friend of mine since the early 90’s. The shop is no longer carrying a few things, including cloth diapers and Sakura Bloom ring slings, so you can get an amazing deal while they still have stock!
Post contains affiliate links. 6 years ago I sat down and pecked out the first few posts on Change-Diapers (then hosted on Blogspot). I had switched my middle child to cloth diapers and was having a hard time finding all of the information. Bits here, pieces there and lots of contradictions. I was far from an expert but hoped that sharing my journey would help others in the same position. I jokingly say that you can find a “cloth diaper blogger” on every street corner now days but that wasn’t the case in 2009!
Here I am 6 years later, still blogging and having cloth diapered two children during that time. Earlier this year I bid on a package Cottonbabies contributed to a charity auction and won. I tucked away the solid colors to use as prizes and saved the Jules print for this! I’m not sure if Jules is still anyone’s unicorn but one of you will win a Bumgenuis 4.0 in Jules print from me and lots of great sponsors are offering prizes as well!
Now through June 22nd, purchase a Baby Jack & Co. lovey from Up On the Hill (use code KIND and choose in-store pickup for the $18 price) or directly from Baby Jack and Company (use code KIND to offset the shipping fee), and it could pay off. This #spreadthelovey campaign provides loveys to babies in the NICU. Up on the Hill is raising lovey donations for “Friends of Oliver – Winchester Medical Center,” where Oliver spent the beginning of his 100+ day NICU stay after his birth at 25 weeks.
Have you been following Baby Oliver’s story? Oliver, born at 25 weeks/1 lb 9 oz, is now 11 weeks old and just broke the 5 lb mark. Doctors are hopeful that he will be able to leave the NICU in a month or so, though he will have frequent doctor visits and potential future surgeries ahead of him. The family has insurance however, it doesn’t cover all costs (bills are arriving daily) or their extra expenses involved with his NICU stay. Amii is spending most of her time about 3 hours away from home so she can be in the NICU with Oliver, and her husband is caring for their older kids and driving back and forth.
Bumgenius Chaplin Giveaway
Diaper was purchased by me. I was not compensated for this post, though it contains affiliate links. I was lucky enough to snag a Bumgenius Chaplin from my local shop, Up On the Hill, and I’m giving it to one of you!
