Ready to make the switch?
It’s never too late to switch to cloth diapers. Here are 5 quick tips for switching to cloth from disposable diapers:
Change regularly – Cloth diapers don’t have super absorbent gel, so plan to change every 2-3 hours.
Add absorbency – Add a hemp doubler or insert to boost absorbency when you need to change less frequently. (Naps etc.)
Cloth diapers fit differently – Cloth diapers don’t sit high in the back like a disposable. Aim to get the front & rear at or slightly below the bellybutton. Some diapers are designed to scoop below the belly button.
Try different brands and styles – What your best friend or neighbor loves might not be your preference. Try a few brands, or even a cloth diaper trial.
Don’t sweat the washing – Keep it simple sweetie! Washing cloth diapers doesn’t have to be difficult.

Maria wants to live in a world where cloth diapers are the norm and moms can make parenting choices without judgement. When she’s not chasing her 18, 14 and 11-year old kids around, you might find her checking out the latest gadgets, organizing something (again) or exercising in the fresh air.
