Cloth diapers are a cost-effective, environmentally friendly way to keep your baby dry, but they can also do a lot more.
Cleaning – My mother-in-law still has Curity prefolds she used on her boys and they make the best rags. From dusting to wiping spills to using as swiffer pads (microfiber works great for this too!) they will serve you well long after your diapering days are over.
Makeshift menstrual pads – Caught without menstrual protection? Use a prefold or natural fiber insert in a pinch.
Wipe a wet slide – Have you ever gone to the park after a rain shower and had your child end up with a wet bottom? Grab a prefold and sop up the water before your kiddo slides!
Crafts – If your favorite diaper delaminated or is beyond repair, use it to make something like a cloth diaper ornament or keychain!
Decorations – Put a tiny newborn diaper in a shadow box with your baby’s photo and footprints for a cute keepsake.
