Barrel and a Heap Cloth Diaper Cover Review & Giveaway (CLOSED 7/5)

Barrel and a Heap is owned by WAHM Carissa. She makes beautiful cloth diaper covers, as well as pillow covers & blankets.

I had to let Carissa surprise me with a cover because I couldn’t decide, I loved them all! She sent me the blue and yellow argyle cover, and I think it may actually be my favorite!

The cover is impeccably made, with neat and even stitching. Although my son is only about 14-14.5 lbs, I chose the medium, estimated to fit babies 18-28 lbs. Small fits 8-20 lbs and large fits 25-40 lbs.

The cover has a simple, Daddy-friendly snap configuration, with 3 snap settings. The cover’s inner is wipeable PUL, and it has leg and rear elastic. The print outer is a sturdy woven fabric, and I haven’t had any wicking issues.

While it is quite trim through the middle, I was able to fit an insert about the width of a Bumgenius insert in the cover, as long as I made sure it was securely inside.

My son is nearly 4 lbs under the minimum weight range for the size medium, and it was a little bit big with just a super trim insert:

It fit much better with a Little Beetle fitted:

and a Babykicks Fitted:

I think with one more snap setting and/or an overlap, it would fit a huge size range! It’s so cute I don’t want to cover it up with pants!
