Since my kids are pretty far apart in age, all of the dishes and such we used when my daughter was little are nearly 5 years old now. Not only did we not know about BPA then, but some of the stuff was looking a little worse for the wear.
I went hunting at the best place ever, Target, and these Munchkin products caught my eye. I didn’t buy everything at once, but each time I looked for something new, my eyes seemed to go to Munchkin again.
The first thing I bought was the 2-pack of snack catchers, which were $4.49 at Target.
They have a soft lid, which is secure and easy for little hands to reach through. The handles make it easy to hold. The only spills we’ve had were because my son shoved his fist in, then turned it upside down!
Munchkin makes tons of products, and I’d definitely look to them next time I’m searching for something!

Well, according to some Amazon discussion questions on the bowls, they didn’t say microwave safe in the past (I see this is an old post, so probably didn’t say it when you bought them), but people say they DO say it now. Which just kind of makes me wonder if they always were, or if they changed something, or what. I was just wondering what you do, since you seem pretty nicely read up on the safety issues with plastics. 🙂
I am pretty sure they said not microwave safe when I bought them. I avoid microwaving plastic anytime I can 🙂

Do you use those Munchkin bowls & plates in the microwave? They say microwave safe, but I’m just concerned about the plastic leaching. I’m hoping you know something about this particular plastic and whether or not it’s safe to heat.
