Tanner’s Tasty Paste Children’s Toothpaste Review

I received products at no cost for review purposes. I was not otherwise compensated for this post, and all opinions are my own. Do Cha Cha Chocolate & Banilla Bling taste like cupcake icing or ice cream? The verdict is unclear, but Tanner’s Tasty Paste is a big hit in our house.

Since the chocolate & vanilla contain fluoride, I let my daughter use them (she has no trouble spitting toothpaste out.) She mixed them together and said it tasted like a milkshake! The paste doesn’t contain saccharin, sodium lauryl sulfate or artificial colors/flavors. Ingredients: Fluoride, Sorbitol (natural sweetener), water, Hydrated Silica (natural abrasive), Xylitol (natural sweetener – also good for dental health – toxic to dogs, keep out of reach of furry friends), Glycerin, Cocamidopropyl Betaine from coconut oil, Titanium Dioxide, Cellulose Gum (from rubber trees), natural vanilla extract or cocoa base (depending on flavor), Disodium Phosphate (salt used as a preservative) & Sucralose. The only ingredient I’m not that thrilled about is sucralose. However, since the paste isn’t swallowed I’m not as concerned about it as I would be if it were in a food item. I do wish they’d leave this out!

The Baby Bling is a fluoride free version, which I let my little guys use (they don’t spit their toothpaste.) Ingredients are the same with the exception of the fluoride.Baby Bling is non-foaming, and it also comes only in the vanilla flavor.

Each 4.2 ounce tube has an MSRP of $6 and my kids loved it. I’d be more likely to buy it again if it was reformulated to remove the sucralose.
