If you click & buy, I may receive a small commission, thank you. This year was my 4th year attending the ABC Kids Expo, and while I usually discover something new, I’m also a bit boring, checking out the same booths each time. Here are 10 (plus a few extra) of the best cloth diaper booths at ABC this year.
As usual, Cottonbabies didn’t disappoint. They introduced two new genius prints: Austen and Equiano.
Fearless, the “little black diaper” will be available in all diaper styles, trainers, wet bags & pail liners.
In other big news, they introduced the “E3” a.k.a. the Bumgenius Elemental 3.0. This style combines the best of both previous versions, using rolled elastic, a fully lined diaper, and the trim but absorbent soakers of v2.
There’s some new gear to match diapers (sweatshirts, tumblers and even a journal), in addition to their Strong series.
If you don’t get easily seasick, check out my live chat with Jennifer Labit of Cottonbabies. I went first thing in the morning when I’d had just (apparently too much) coffee and nothing else, so I was shaking like a leaf!
Tidy Tots has new prints, and has won so many awards, I’ve lost track of them all! I have a diaper for Katie to try on her son – I just need to get my act together getting caught up so I can take photos and send it to her.
GroVia‘s booth was committed to their new Calico & Tex prints, with matching bibs, pillows and even shirts for the employees. The new prints are avilable 11/7 and are based on vintage flour sack prints.
They also introduced their Unders, which will be shown in another post.
Sweet Pea Diapers revamped their sheep and racoon prints, and introduced a “Fluff Mail” print.
Despite the weird lighting, the new Thirsties Adventure prints are adorable.
Kangacare introducted Lil Learnerz training pants which have a feel-wet liner, absorbent core and waterproof outer. Available in XS-XL (fitting children 19-44 pounds), the two smallest sizes have snap sides for messes, while they all pull down to allow your child independence. Trainers are available in tons of prints, including the Todidoki prints. I had a great conversation with owner Julie about how they were designed and hoped to do a Facebook live, but we couldn’t line up our schedules.
As requested by many customers, Best Bottom Diapers introduced a swim diaper that is very similar to their shells, but without the snaps and with a mesh lining.
The rainbow wool in the Sustainablebabyish/Sloomb booth, along with their rainbow bracelet and wool dryer ball displays, made it an 80’s child’s dream come true.
Blueberry had their Tennessee (I think? I don’t do sports.) print diapers on display and said that even more colleges are to come.
Green Team is now distributing Tots Bots diapers, and I was able to see some other prints that are so new, I can’t tell you anything about them except that they’re awesome.
I chatted with Luludew and they showed me their new diaper covers with a snap in, swappable liner. They do remind me of TushMate diapers, but they are designed to be used with prefolds rather than snap-in liners. Luludew is largely selling covers to other diaper services and I think it’s great that services are going beyond prefolds & plain old covers.
In other news:
Bummis announced during ABC that they purchased Funky Fluff. I hadn’t heard this and was confused when I rounded the corner to the Bummis booth and saw a Funky Fluff display instead.
Last, but not least, the Smart Bottoms booth revealed their new Dream Diaper. I wasn’t able to see or photograph the samples they had since they were pretty popular.
