My kids are out of diapers but I always like to have a pack of wipes handy, especially in the car! Let’s face it, they have about 1,001 uses (and you know moms use them for everything)! I bought WaterWipes at Walgreens and am digging them. They are totally different than other baby wipes on the market and I feel much better about using them on my kids.
WaterWipes are completely chemical free and have just two ingredients: purified water and 0.1% grapefruit seed extract (GSE). No chlorine, no bleach, no chemicals, period. The GSE is a natural skin conditioner and also will keep the wipes from smelling musty (if you’ve ever pre-moistened cloth wipes, you know what I mean). Like so many great baby products, WaterWipes were created by a parent who questioned all the chemicals in the baby wipes he was using on his daughter’s sensitive skin. WaterWipes were easy to find in the store (I used their website to find a store that had them in stock) and checkout was quick and easy.
I was surprised by how soft the wipes were, yet they were pretty thick and quite sturdy. You could definitely clean up a mess with these and they aren’t as rough as the kitchen wash cloths I often use on dirty little faces. My son thinks they smell good but I don’t think they smell like anything! My son and I both have eczema, so I was pleased to see that the hypoallergenic wipes were awarded the Seal of Acceptance from The National Eczema Association.
I’m keeping a package in the car to wipe the kids after snacks, the park and anytime they’re dirty. I think these would be a great addition to a baby shower gift basket!

I love water wipes! The night we brought our daughter home from her unexpected 5 week early arrival, we went to the local giant grocery store for food (we’d been in the hospital for a week) and wet wipes (the hospital ones were too smelly and nearly gone anyway) and we saw these. They’re the only wipes we buy. Super gentle on a preemie and no harsh smells or ingredients.
