Blueberries plus trainers = bad. How to prevent staining without soaking trainers with PUL in them (Blueberry Trainers)
Blueberries are the worst (the fruit, not the training pants!), and I think most cloth diapering moms would agree with that assessment.
I’d treat blueberries & trainers the same way I do with cloth diapers: rinse them, wash as soon as possible, and sun any stains. With trainers, washing can be a problem if you don’t have full loads to do often. In that case, I would not hesitate to wash them with other clothing. Gross? Maybe, but I wash undies with other clothes, so it doesn’t bother me!
How do you prevent stains?

With my daughter’s blueberry poos I would try to rinse right away and then soak in cold water for a couple hours and didn’t have many stains at all. My inserts stained worse than the actual cloth!
I haven’t had to tackle blueberries yet, but I think I will just spray/rinse and wash with other diapers (or towels!). Then sun. There hasn’t been a stain I couldn’t get out with the sun! (yet!)
for trainers I would say use your diaper sprayer and then toss them in with towels! if you don’t have a diaper sprayer then I would suggest rinsing them on an extra small load and then adding the towels to make a full load and wash as usual!
I absolutely agree with sunning them. The sun is magical.
