Over the next few weeks I will be highlighting cloth diapers that will fit preemies or small newborns. Check out my newborn cloth diaper overview for how newborn diapers fit on my 6.5 lb newborn, and check back for more preemie cloth diapers.
Last year I posted a review of the Dri-Line Baby semi-fitted. As I hunted for preemie diapers, the XS semi-fitted came to mind.
The semi-fitted diapers have leg elastic, snap closures, and no elastic on front or back, to be gentle on little tummies. The XS has white stitching, and is designed for babies up to 6 lbs. (The small has yellow stitching and fits 6-15 lbs.) All sizes are 8 layers of 100% cotton flannelette.
Here is the XS measured folded and flat (the stretch is in the legs vs the center) before washing and after washing:
The diaper gets quite small.
It fits nicely in a Proraps preemie cover (post on that is coming soon!)
Stay tuned to see more preemie cloth diapers!

Maria wants to live in a world where cloth diapers are the norm and moms can make parenting choices without judgement. When she’s not chasing her 18, 14 and 11-year old kids around, you might find her checking out the latest gadgets, organizing something (again) or exercising in the fresh air.

Thanks for doing this series. I hope and pray that I never have to look back on it, but it’s still good to keep as a reference to look back on or point someone else to.
