We have been using the Lil Learnerz Training Pants for a few months as our toddler began showing signs of potty learning. Lil Learnerz come in five different sizes, with weight ranges within 15-65+ pounds. Sizes extra small and small feature side snap release panels, while sizes medium through extra large are pull on style. Each package of Lil Learnerz comes with 2 trainers. You are able to choose from a variety of fun patterns and solid colors.
My son is 2.5 years old and weighs 27 pounds wearing mostly 2T clothing, so we ordered a size small. The size was perfect for him, fitting him trim and just like underwear would.
There are so many features that I love about this product. First, the entire outside of the trainer is waterproof TPU. This feature has saved us many outfit changes. To help with containing accidents, Lil Learnerz also feature an inside that is composed of an absorbent, dual layer microfiber core. This absorbency, coupled with the waterproof TPU outer, is enough to fully contain an entire wet accident for my toddler with no leaking. This also means that I feel completely comfortable with him wearing these in public.
Another great feature of the Lil Learnerz is the IMWET TECHNOLOGYâ„¢. This feature lets your potty learner know that they have had an accident by allowing them to feel wet. I am not 100% sure how it works, because the inside is a nice soft fleece material, but it definitely works. When my son wears his Lil Learnerz he will immediately tell me, “I peed in my big boy pants, I need to get changed.” Having him be aware of when he has had an accident, yet not having a mess to clean up is a huge parenting win.
The side snap release panels in sizes extra small and small are a life saver. They make cleaning up messy accidents a breeze. It is essentially like your child is wearing a diaper. Each side of the trainer in sizes extra small and small feature 3 side snaps. The snaps do not adjust the size of the trainer, they are just there for ease of changing accidents. Like the other sizes, extra small and small can still be pulled on and pulled off. My toddler struggles to do this independently, but he still asks for help with elastic waist shorts that are a size too big for him.
Yet another perk to Lil Learnerz is that wearing them makes my toddler feel like a “big boy”. He becomes excited about potty training as soon as he puts them on. He loves the fun patterns and that he can step into them and pull them on instead of having to lay down like a diaper change.
Now that we are expecting another baby, I see matching with other Kangacare products as a big plus. It will be so cute to have our toddler wearing his Lil Learnerz and our new baby wearing matching Lil Joeys.
The Lil Learnerz work perfectly for our family. We look forward to using them throughout our potty learning experience.
Have you used Lil Learnerz?
I got these for overnight training with my 2 and 4 year olds, who still have occasional accidents. They have leaked all over everything every time. Is this a user error? Can I use a doubler with these somehow? I really want to like these, but they haven’t held anything! (Yes, they fit well and are snug around the legs)
Thanks for reviewing, I am looking into getting some training pants for my soon-to-be-2-year-old. I was curious about these, and seeing that they snap off in his size is a great feature!
