Katie received a top at no cost for review purposes. Change-Diapers was not otherwise compensated for this post, and all opinions are Katie’s. Peek-A-Boo is a collection of basic items that was created to make nursing easy and fun for moms. They’re a company that prides themselves on making high quality maternity and nursing clothing. Their clothing can be purchased during pregnancy, but can continue to be used through nursing. They want to make sure women feel good about their bodies while going through so many changes during pregnancy and nursing. The fact that you only have to buy one garment that you can use during pregnancy and continue to use while nursing is a huge plus! Peek-A-Boo also has great customer service and risk free shopping. If you buy something that doesn’t fit right, you can return or exchange it.
The nursing top I received for review is intended to make nursing in public easy with minimal exposure. One of the important parts of breastfeeding is the bonding and eye to eye contact between mother and child. This top creates a discreet way to nurse without using a cover so you can still have the eye to eye contact during those public nursing sessions.
The side rouching along with the stretchy fabric allows you to wear the shirt throughout your entire pregnancy. The top will stretch to accomodate your growing belly. The fabric is soft and lite so nursing during the warmer summer months won’t be unbearably hot like it tends to be when you layer your clothing. It’s also the perfect shirt for layering during the cooler months.
I used to layer my shirts for nursing. My under tank top that I would pull down and my outer tank top that I would pull up. It could be a bit of a hassle messing with two shirts. With the Peek-A-Boo top, they’ve taken this idea and put its design into a single top which makes things much more convenient. I like that the shirt is not only comfortable, but also stylish. It can be difficult finding a nice shirt to dress up in and also nurse in. This shirt does the trick. It’s also great for every day casual wear as well.
Peek-A-Boo has an array of maternity and nursing clothing that can be found on their website www.studio-peekaboo.com. The cap sleeve top I received retails for $ 64.99, and they have a wide selection of long & short sleeved tops, skirts, dresses, loungewear, swimwear and even bottoms.
