Several local moms got together to organize a benefit auction for 1 lb 9 oz micro-preemie Oliver Fritz, son of Up On the Hill owner Amii Fritz. Though the other moms have done the bulk of the hard work, I’ve pitched in a little bit and am excited for the Putting on the Fritz auction, which will begin Saturday, January 24th, 2015.
There are dozens of fantastic items up for auction and all money will go to the Fritz family. Some items can be shipped while there are a few that are local (generally Jefferson/Berkley County WV, Frederick/Washington County MD area residents) pickup and/or use only.

The auction will take place on the Facebook auction page. Each item will be listed in a photo album with description and any restrictions. Bidding will start at 20% of the item’s value (rounded to the nearest dollar) and bids must be in whole dollar increments. Bidders may place their bids by typing the dollar amount in the comment of that item’s photo. Ending times will be staggered by 5-10 minutes so you may bid on more than one item if you choose. If there is a “bidding war,” bids will continue beyond the close time until there have been no bids for two minutes.
