@Safeway / Exxon Fuel Rewards Program – $50 Gift Card Giveaway (CLOSED 3/21) #FueledbySafeway

Do you have Safeway stores in your area? Safeway Inc. and ExxonMobil have teamed to give you a way to save at the pump!

I received a Safeway gift card so I could check out the new rewards program and I was happy to see they had quite a lot of organic food options. I think Safeway’s bakery has the best french bread (and cupcakes tee-hee.)

Earn one point per dollar spent on eligible purchases (grocery & pharmacy), and for every 100 points, you receive 10 cents off per gallon of gas at participating Exxon or Mobil stations. (Max 25 gallons, limit 1 vehicle.) I think this is way better than some other stores that require you to spend $50 in a go to receive any points.

When you purchase qualifying gift cards, you receive two points per dollar spent! There were tons of gift cards to choose from, and you could save a lot on gas by buying gift cards & using them to pay for purchases you would make anyway. There’s no rule that you have to “gift” a gift card. 😉

Redeeming points is easy since you can swipe your Safeway club card, or enter your phone # at the pump. I think it’s fantastic that they have teamed with ExxonMobil stations, so you can save at the pump pretty much wherever you are in town, rather than having to try to time your trip to the grocery store’s gas station with your shopping trip & empty gas tank!
