Yes, You Need a Bidet – GenieBidet Toilet Seat

I purchased these items myself. Post contains affiliate links meaning that if you click and buy I may receive a small commission, thank you. When we bought our house and moved in together, we brought along my husband’s Squatty Potty and the GenieBidet attachment I’d bought him for his birthday (am I romantic or what?) Unfortunately, the attachment didn’t work on the elongated toilets in the new house. I set out to find a replacement.

I looked at what felt like a bajillion products and reviews, but I couldn’t get the one I’d chosen to work, despite my best efforts.

I ended up going back to GenieBidet and bought their elongated toilet seat bidet, which replaces your existing toilet seat. Like the attachment, it was easy to install and I did it myself in minutes. The seat easily slides off the bracket to make it easier to clean.

It has a soft close lid function, and the only issue I’ve had is that you have to give the lid an extra push to get it to stay up. The company suggested that I need to move the mounting bracket a bit more forward, which I had already done, but maybe I just need to fiddle with it a little bit more. In any event, we’re very happy with our new “throne” and if you haven’t tried a bidet, get one!
