Imagine Baby SmartFit Bamboo Prefolds and Cover Review & Giveaway (CLOSED 2/26)
The Imagine Baby line is exclusively sold at Nicki’s Diapers (affiliate link) and offers quality products at much lower prices than you’d expect.
I received a one-size cover and SmartFit bamboo prefolds to review.
The covers are available in 4 colors (plus white), in snap or hook & loop closures. They have a wipeable inner and are estimated to fit 8-35 lbs via a snap down rise.
Here is the small measured folded and stretched:
Medium:
Large:
Covers retail for $10.95, and are being offered at an introductory price of just $8.95.
The SmartFit bamboo prefolds are 55% rayon from bamboo, 45% organic cotton, and are available in 4 sizes to fit babies from 4-30+ lbs. I received the medium/yellow edge, which is designed to fit 12-25 lbs.
Here it is before and after prep:
The prefold fits perfectly trifolded in a medium cover.
Of course, you can also secure it with pins, snappi or boingos. I prefer trifolding, since (as you can see below) my 18ish pound wiggly 14 month old makes getting a good fit difficult!
The cover fit my son with tons of room for a bulkier fitted diaper, and the double gussets contain messes.
The prefolds are bargain priced at just $2.25-$3.25 each (cheaper in dozens.)

Giveaway: Nicki’s Diapers is offering one of my readers 3 Imagine SmartFit Bamboo prefolds in choice of size, plus a one-size cover in his/her choice of color and closure – subject to availability (combined ARV approximately $20.) Entries go in the Rafflecopter form below.
I received a product sample for review purposes. I was not compensated for this post, and all opinions are my own. Post contains affiliate links.
Should I still get the mediums, or skip the mediums and go straight to the large?
What age/weight is your baby?
I haven’t given birth yet 🙂 Just planning ahead so I can start shopping. Wondering what the most economical route to go is- we’re willing to just trifold in a cover when she gets big instead of wrapping her + using a Snappi.
Ah gotcha. You could just do the large & fold them to fit. It would be extremely bulky on a small baby though!
Thanks a lot! 🙂 I’ll get the small, and the large (and skip the medium) then.

These look nice!!

I tried these covers with my daughter and didn’t like them. They leaked 🙁 I also did not like that there wasn’t a “pocket” to hold the insert on the ends (like the Bumgenius Flips).
Oops, previous post should say “were” not “we’re”.
We’re the bamboo prefolds difficult to Snappi? I see from the picutres that it is possible, but is there enough loopyness of the fabric for the Snappi or Boingos to grip ok without being likely o slip? I really want to order bigger prefolds but can’t decide between more 100% cotton or trying bamboo!
I just want to say that I appreciate your giveaways so much, because they are straight to the point with low entry options and don’t take all day with a bunch of clicking to participate!

These are my go-to covers! I love them! Can’t wait for them to fit my 1 month old twins!
Maria, would you say these are any softer or more trim than standard cotton prefolds? Thanks!
I think they are softer and a bit more absorbent than 100% cotton, about the same sort of “quilting.”
