Tots Bots Easy Fit v4 Bamboo Minky (“Binky”) Cloth Diaper Review

I received a product at no cost for review purposes. I was not otherwise compensated for this post, and all opinions are my own. Tots Bots are made in Scotland, and distributed in the U.S. by Bummis. I received the newest Tots Bots Easy fit (version 4) to review, and I also compared it to the prior versions. I’ve used the minky version easy fit, and the rayon from bamboo version in the newborn, tini fit size.

Tots Bots has some of the most unique prints, including the Incy Wincy Spider print I received.

The various iterations of the easy fit have been very similar, with just the soaker/inner materials changing up.

The snap-down rise allows the diaper to fit babies approximately 8-35 pounds, and the perimeter of the inner is polyester to prevent wicking.

Both versions have a tongue style soaker that folds into the pocket and agitates out in the wash. The previous version was polyester minky both inside the diaper, and on both sides of the soaker. The new version is a blend of rayon from bamboo, cotton, and polyester minky. The inner of the diaper feels like a terry washcloth to me, and the reverse of the soaker feels like a cross between microfiber and minky – it isn’t the “furry” minky of the previous style.

The previous minky version had a slightly longer soaker however, the new “binky” version comes with a snap-on doubler.

I have left the doubler snapped in and stuffed while washing and it always agitates out. Sometimes it stays snapped and sometimes it comes loose.

Whoops, I should have put this on a dark background to try to show the soaker materials!

With the booster, the new version is considerably bulkier than the minky style.

Without the booster, it is very similar, or perhaps even a bit trimmer than the minky.

Above is a peek at the bamboo version from before the minky, though this is the newborn version. It had a rayon from bamboo inner/one side of the soaker, and the reverse of the soaker was microfiber.

Here’s the newest “binky” version on my 24ish pound 2 year (and 3 month) old:

I am using the snap-in booster in these pictures, and as you can see, it’s a bit fluffy!

Here he is (same age/weight) in the minky version:

They are the same cut/size but I just fastened the hook & loop differently. When using without the booster I found that I closed them the same. I highly prefer the absorbency of the new bamboo minky version, even without the booster. Both versions benefit from a quick tumble in the dryer to soften them up after line drying.

The newest version will be available in the U.S. soon, and the price will increase slightly though I do not have a number at this time.

Have you tried the bamboo or minky Tots Bots? Are you looking forward to the new “binky” version?

I scored some pre-loved Tots Bots Teenyfits before my son was born, and these have been my absolute favorite AIOs for him. The fit is great whereas he seems too short waisted for the GroVias, still. They’re so long that they gape around the legs. I can’t wait to get some Easy Fit V4s. I’m loving the velcro. We’ll just have to see whether or not he starts pulling off his own diapers as he approaches toddler-hood.

I loved the newborn version (I had the bamboo type.) Their velcro is pretty hardy in my opinion!

I have a few of the v3 (minky) and I really like the minky fabric — soft on baby’s skin and I can take them on trips where we won’t have a dryer and they only take a little longer than my flats to air dry!

Great review!! Wish they would get here so I can try them out 😉 I have heard from several retailers that the price is set to increase to $26.95.
