Dates and times retailers expect to stock @Bumgenius #Chaplin #clothdiapers - via @chgdiapers

Bumgenius Chaplin sold out quickly on the Cottonbabies site and has sold out at retailers who have already stocked it or accepted pre-orders. There are still many more that will stock. I’m compiling a list of who is stocking them and when. For those who haven’t given an exact date or time yet, I will add that information as I find it. Links are of the affiliate variety when available.

Yummi Pouch Reusable Snack Bags Review

@Yummipouch reusable snack bags via @chgdiapers

I received a product at no cost for review purposes. I was not otherwise compensated for this post, and all opinions are my own. In May, I published my Yummi Pouch reusable food pouch review. My kids still love them (my 2 year old will ask for a “yogurt squeezy thing” at snack time.) We used them in my daughter’s lunches for the last month of the school year also, and they have held up fantastically. Yummi Pouch offered to send me their newest products, the cloth snack bag, cloth sandwich bag, and everything storage bag.

Cloth Diapering

Stop Dismissing Cloth Diapers as a Solution for Diaper Need

#clothdiapers are a valid solution to solve #diaperneed - diaper need

Stop Dismissing Cloth Diapers as a Solution for Diaper Need

Diaper need is a real problem and cloth diapers are a real solution. There is no government program that provides diapers to families in need, and far too many families are left to choose between things like food and utilities, or diapers for their baby. There are charities and organizations that collect donated disposable diapers and distribute them to families however, it is generally not enough to diaper a baby full time, and many families are left to “stretch” a single diaper for the whole day, or even scrape and reuse them.

It seems that every few months, there is another article bring awareness to the issue of diaper need, and every time, cloth diapers are immediately dismissed as an option. Providing disposable diapers is a band aid. Cloth diapers are the cure, and many arguments against cloth are nothing more than misconceptions.

2nd VBAC, Barely Made it to the Hospital – Birth Story Guest Post

Always listen to your midwife - birth story via @chgdiapers

This is Kiera’s birth story, written by Jenn.

Kiera is my 3rd child and my 2nd VBAC.  My first child was born via c-section 5 years ago.  We decided to go with a c-section after 2 hours of unsuccessful pushing and a sunny side up baby in lieu of a vacuum extraction.  Baby boy ended up being 8lbs 5 oz, which was huge for me at 4ft 11inches!  He had large contusion on his head from being stuck and I am convinced that a c-section was the right decision.
