Kushies Nite Lite Review & Coupon Code

I received a product at no cost for review purposes. I was not otherwise compensated for this post, and all opinions are my own. I’m sure you’ve heard of Kushies, manufacturer of all things baby including cloth diapers, swim diapers, pajamas and all things baby. Their adorable nite lites are a new addition to their line.

In my 5-year old’s words, this nite light is “SO COOL!” Guess who is buying a second one? 😉 They are available in several styles and colors, and even a mini version. There are rechargeable options, or a battery operated version like the hippo nite lite I received.

I chose the hippo because it matches my son’s room and well, it’s adorable. It’s approximately 5 inches high and I love the fact that it’s battery operated. This means you aren’t limited in where you place it, and there are no cord safety concerns.

I am super dumb and didn’t read enough to know that the 3 AAA batteries were included, so the first thing I did was open the battery compartment. The screw was pretty tight and I managed to strip it on my first attempt before handing it off to DH for him to discover the batteries were included. D’oh!

There’s a little button on the bottom of the light that allows you to turn it on & have it cycle through colors, or you can push it again and it will remain on the current color.

There are 4 colors, but it actually shows much more because as it gradually changes you see other colors in-between. As I’m rubbing my son’s back at bedtime he says “is BLUE!”… “is GREEN!” The red isn’t quite as bright as the other colors but they are all very soothing and pretty, and give enough light to make your way around a dark bedroom.

One of the best things about it is the automatic timer. After 30 minutes, it shuts off. We have a dim, plug in light to allow a bit of light throughout the night, but this provides more light as my son is falling asleep.

The night lights start at just $8.99 for the minis, $19.99 for one like mine, with the re-chargeables topping out at $34.99.
