Pediped Flex Review & Giveaway
I received a product at no cost for review purposes. Post contains affiliate links. We’ve been huge Pediped fans since my 5 year old was a baby. I wrote about the originals when he was wearing them in 2010, and all but one, very loved pair was passed on to his little brother. When my son outgrew originals, we moved on the Grip & Go, and I was thrilled to receive a pair of Flex for my 2.5 year old to try.
Pediped has been awarded the American Podiatric Medical Association Seal of Acceptance for the promotion of healthy foot development, and are known to be the next best thing to bare feet.
- Originals feature flexible, soft-soles recommended by pediatricians and podiatrists as the shoe’s design closely mimics barefoot walking and are available for children in sizes newborn to 24 months.
- Grip ‘n’ Go are for toddlers who are developing a confident stride (some styles are machine washable & water safe.) Available in sizes 4-7.
- Flex is for confident walkers who have developed a natural stride. These shoes have flex grooves to allow for natural foot movement & flexibility, and are very light. Available in sizes 5 kids to 4.5 youth.
There are styles to fit any taste, and the shoes are so well made they will last until your child outgrows them (and then some.)
The flex fit system is a totally unique insert that you can add to the existing, cushy insole. It takes up any additional space for a great fit, and can be removed as your child grows to extend the wear of the shoe.
The semi-attached tongue makes it easy for little ones learning to put their shoes on (it doesn’t get shoved down inside the shoe) and the Velcro closures are easy to use and adjust.
My little guy (with his big boy haircut, boo-hoo, sniff!) loves them.
His new pair of flex are a size 24, and I was just barely still cramming him into his size 22 Grip & Go. Since they are nearly the same style, I thought it would be a good opportunity to show the differences between the two styles.
Flex range from $48-57 per pair, and while I am typically a budget-conscious shopper, I have found the purchase of Pediped to be well worth it.
