Sparklehearts Natural Body Care for Tween Girls Review

We first tried Sparklehearts in 2012, when I bought a gift set for my daughter for Christmas. She loved it so much, we immediately bought full size bottles! I was so excited to see that Green Team now distributes Sparklehearts (aff link) since it is now much easier to find!

I found it a little difficult to find chemical free products for my tween girl. There are plenty of baby items, and a few for adults, but nothing to appeal to that tween demographic. Well this does, for sure! From the fruity scent, colorful packages and sparkly lotion, my daughter adores Sparklehearts. I bought her more for her birthday, which may seem like an odd gift, but trust me – she will be thrilled.

The shine shampoo lathers nicely (the lather comes from natural coconut and sugar, not sulfates), smells wonderful, and rinses clean, leaving hair soft.

I love that this even exists. It’s not that easy to find a natural conditioner, especially one designed for kids. We don’t need to use a ton of this to have it work, and combing it through before rinsing leaves hair virtually tangle free.

The sparkle lotion is probably my daughter’s favorite! It has a great scent just like all the other products, and when the lotion absorbs, it leave behind a subtle sparkle from natural mica sparkles!

We’ve also tried several other products, including the natural deodorant. My daughter is about to turn 9, which is a little early for deodorant – I was about 10 when I got my first Teen Spirit (am I dating myself? Tee-hee!) – but she enjoys using it now & again. It smells yummy & is chemical free.

She loved the detangler so much that she went a little overboard with it, LOL. It’s perfectly designed for tweens, with nettle & billow bark to eliminate dandruff & residue, and green tea & sage to soothe hair.

All products are reasonably priced in my opinion, at $9.99 per 10 oz bottle (lotion and detangler are 8 oz) and $6.99 for the deodorant. They also seemed to last us a long time, since you don’t need to use a whole palm full for it to work. The gift sets would be a fun gift for a girl who was taking a trip, since the bottles are TSA approved!
