The 5th Great Cloth Diaper Change is coming up very soon, on Saturday April 18th! If you don’t follow the Great Cloth Diaper Change Shepherdstown Facebook page, you may have missed announcements about vendors and other fun stuff. The event will be in half of the Shepherd University Arena (at the Wellness Center – 164 University Dr.) and we will have lots of space. Doors will be open from 9-1 but make sure you’re there by 10:30 if you are participating in the change. Important directions note: University Dr. is directly across from the Sheetz and beside the BB&T on Martinsburg Pk. If you are using a GPS, do not use the facility address. Instead use: 8327 Martinsburg Pk, which is BB&T’s address. Then turn on University Dr and follow the road back to the Wellness Center.
We are planning on a table with special goodies/snacks available for a donation. Any donations collected will go towards the cost of the event. If we collect more than the event cost, any additional funds will be donated to the RDA to advocate for cloth diapers. Whether or not costs are covered we will donate $1 per participant to the RDA.

Have usable condition diapers you’re not using? Bring them to the change and we will ship them to Giving Diapers Giving Hope at our expense!
We’re still accepting vendors ($25 for an 8′ space if you bring your own tables, $35 if you need to use two 4′ facility tables), door prizes and samples/brochures/coupons for goodie bags. Food vendors, doulas/birth educators, CPSTs and other companies are welcome. Get in touch if you’d like to present a demonstration or activity in addition to vending!
We are in need of 2-3 volunteers to help with check-in.

You will receive 1 ticket for attending, 1 if you pre-registered, and 1 when you complete the change. Like last year, we’ll have separate “buckets” for each prize, so you can drop your tickets for items you’d like to win. We’ll draw door prize winners around noon and you must be present to win.

We are planning on 50 goodie bags total. If you pre-registered, you’ll receive a GCDC bracelet at check-in, which you can exchange for a goodie bag after you complete the change. Any remaining goodie bags will go to other attendees who completed the change.
