Change-Diapers received product at no cost for review purposes. We were not otherwise compensated for this post and all opinions are our own. Tots Bots is a beloved U.K. cloth diaper company and the Scotland made “nappies” are finally back in our hands via a new U.S. Distributor. Their brand new PeeNut wraps boast their popular prints, and the versatile day-to-night absorbent pads (inserts) keep babies dry.

I know some of you will be thrilled that their “bits and bobs” category (love that!) now contains fleece liners! Yep, now you can purchase a 10-pack of the fantastic fleece liners that came with their previous Easy Fit version. These are landing at Tiny Marigold soon!

Also available are disposable liners sold in rolls of 100 for $6.95. They are the same size as the fleece liners and can be a great way to handle solid food messes.

The wraps are available in size 2 (pictured here) which is a one-size diaper designed to fit babies 9-35 pounds. If you have a petite baby, you can grab the size 1 instead, which fits babies 6-18 pounds.

These trim fitting covers also work well with their Bamboozle Stretch fitted.

The PeeNut wrap features a snap down rise, wipeable interior, and some of the best hook & loop in the industry (in my opinion). They also have awesome prints and the wraps are incredibly soft.

The day to night insert pad set comes with a light (small) and medium (large) which snap together for max absorbency. Use the “poppers” (love the U.K. terminology, obviously!) to snap into the wrap and keep them in place. Inserts are bamboo viscose with a touch of microfiber for quicker drying.

Katie tried the diaper on her 17 month old son who is over 30 pounds. The new TotsBots Peenut has such a different fit for us than the TotsBots V4. It’s definitely a bigger diaper. I played around with the rise setting trying to decide whether I should unsnap it all the way or have is snapped down to the second largest rise setting. They both seemed to work, but having it completely unsnapped gave us a better fit. It didn’t matter if I used one or both of the inserts, the diaper wasn’t very bulky.

I prepped my inserts three times before using them with the understanding that the more they’re washed, the more absorbent they’ll become. However, I could get away with using the larger insert alone during the day with no issues, then doubling up for nap time. I was able to use the one larger insert for naps, but he tends to have longer naps, so I used both as a precaution. I really wanted to try both inserts for bed time as well. I typically don’t try anything new for nights because he wets really heavily, but I was curious. Using both inserts, they were absorbent for a shorter bed time. By that I mean, I changed him after he was asleep, before I myself went to bed.

I’d say he made it a solid 8 or so hours without a leak. The nice thing about the covers being larger, you can easily add absorbency in. That’s what I’ve been doing. I add in at least one extra booster with the two inserts and we make it all night! The fleece liners are a nice addition because it wicks away the moisture, which is a huge positive for nighttime!

The snap in inserts are a great addition because my little guy is go, go, go as soon as he gets up all the way up until he goes to bed. So having the inserts snap in, means they aren’t going to move around and expose his bottom to the PUL.

With the Peenut package which included 4 covers and 8 sets of the two inserts, I was able to exclusively diaper my son in TotsBots all day. It’s definitely a great little starter kit with all the necessities included.

It also included some disposable liners. We have never used disposable liners before we never found the need for them, but we tried them out anyway. They were really soft, super thin and went well over the inserts in the diaper. By the time he needed a diaper change, the liner was kind of bunched up and was uncomfortable for him. (I noticed him pulling at the butt of his diaper.) However, they were gentle enough on his skin that there was no irritation.

PeeNut wraps retail for $17.95 for solids and $19.95 for prints; sets of inserts are $14.95 each. Look for them at all your favorite retailers.

Do you love Tots Bots? Which is your favorite print? Are you hoping to try the PeeNut system?
