I received a complimentary diaper for review purposes. I was not otherwise compensated for this post, and all opinions are my own. Baby Beduga has just introduced a USA made 2 in 1 deluxe pocket diaper at an unheard of price. Just $10.50.
Diapers are made in El Paso Texas, and include a microfiber insert, which is made in China.
The diaper has a snap closure with overlap, and FIVE rise settings. Apparently this threw me so much that I skipped a rise setting in my photographs! OOPS! They seem to be newborn, small, medium, medium/tall and large.
There are inner gussets, a front pocket opening (with a PUL flap so you can use it as a cover) and PUL bands at the front & back. The snaps are reinforced inside the pocket with strips of suedecloth. When I took the diaper out of its first wash, one strip wasn’t attached to a rise snap, but it has not caused any leaking issues.
Here is the XS setting measured folded & stretched:
Small:
I am so unaccustomed to having 5 rise settings that I skipped the next setting, which I’m referring to as medium! Oopsie! Sorry about that.
Here’s the next setting, which I’m calling medium/tall:
Large:
I put my son (not quite 18 mos, 22ish pounds) in the next-to-largest size, which I’ve been calling “medium tall.”
Between the 5 rise settings, and all the snap closures/overlaps, the fit is really customizable.
Giveaway: Baby Beduga is offering one of my U.S. readers his/her choice of diaper (ARV $10.50.) Entries go in the Rafflecopter form below.
Dear Cloth Diaper Customer,
First thank you for reading this wondeful review. I understand your concerns and I will address them here.
I designed this diaper with the original baby beduga diaper in mind, (why re-invent the wheel)?
However, I wanted to bring production to US because I am an American mom, and I want to support American made products.
You want to know why the price? Here is why and how:
I dont have a factory that runs 24/7. I have a sewing contractor in my hometown of El Paso. The diapers are made by batches. Why?
1. To control operating cost.
2. Quality control on smaller batches is higher.
I make $2.00 on each diaper. I did not start babybeduga to make money, and by bringing production to the US isnt making me any more money. MY GOAL is provide HIGH Quality diapers at the best price.
I hope this answers all of your questions as I hope to grow my business so I can continue to help out the number of charities I donate diapers to.
Blessings,
Crystal Thompson
Founder of BabyBeduga
I love these diapers! We bought them for our two little grandson (youngest of our daughters 8) and have not been disappointed! Crystal is the nicest lady and why deal with oversees, non speaking, non Americans when you can deal with a mom just like you! About to order some more and love them!
Love the orange…great for summertime!
I highly doubt these are really made in the USA. They look exactly like an alva baby, cookie-cutter, made-in-China cloth diaper. And for that price? There’s just no way.
I use these diapers and love them!
