My Brest Friend Nursing Pillow/Products Review & $150 Giveaway (CLOSED 1/10)

My Brest Friend has tons of fabulous products, but they are probably most well known for their original nursing pillow. If you have ever watched a certain TLC show about a mega-sized family, you have probably seen one! 🙂 (Do note that My Brest Friend does not recommend using the pillow while walking around like you will see on this show!) Anyhoo, My Brest Friend sent me a ton of fabulous products to try, and you have the chance to win some too.

The 3-in-1 body pillow ($55.95 retail) is a streamlined pregnancy body pillow designed to provide maximum support without hogging all the bed space!

It has a built in wedge for your belly and a comfy spot to rest your head.

It also has a removable cover so you can keep the pillow clean!

The pillow will help keep your head, belly and knees/hips supported and keep you comfy all night!

If you don’t want the whole body pillow, consider the pregnancy wedge instead!

The pregnancy wedge can be used behind your lower back for lumbar support, or at bedtime under your belly for or between your legs for better hip, leg and back alignment at night. The 100% cotton cover zips off for easy cleaning. The wedge retails for $15.95.

The extra large burp cloths sell for $19.95/3 pack, and are available in pink, blue and mixed colors.

They are super absorbent, 100% cotton and are far larger than the leading burp cloths!

The original nursing pillow is perfect for pretending you are swimming, tee-hee!

The pillow is available in loads of different slipcover colors/patterns, and retails for $44. The pillow is firm and flat, and adjust to fit any mom or Dad. The “big name” u-shaped nursing pillow doesn’t work for me because the ends hit the couch back and leave a huge gap between by belly and the pillow. That, combined with the squishy, lumpi-ness of the pillow leads to the baby rolling into the gap! Not so with the My Brest Friend. My husband and even my 6 1/2 year old daughter can use it.

The wrap around design gives you back support and ensures the pillow supports you and baby without shifting. The buckle is a quiet release, and the pillow even has a pocket (for the remote, your phone, a bottle of water etc.) and removable cover!

Even at 9 months pregnant, I was able to get the pillow to fit with plenty of room!

My Brest Friend’s All Natural Nipple Cream is a brand new product made with all natural and organic ingredients, with no preservatives or additives!

I just want to say that this pillow is super awesome, whether or not you have twins. Don’t let the name make you think it’s not for you. Though it’s a little pricey at $78, and only available in 2 colors, it is really nice, and I honestly don’t think it would be overkill for a singleton if you want maximum support & comfort!

I was amazed by how darn comfy it was. I was able to “nurse twins” and still have support for my arms!

There’s simply no contest between the Twins Plus and “the other pillow.”

This is absolutely the best pillow for twins!!

Flip Trainers Review – Updated 11/11/13

Post contains affiliate links, I purchased this product myself. I finally received the Flip Trainer I ordered the day the new products/colors/prints were announced! My son is 2 1/2 and isn’t terribly interested in the potty. He was doing pretty well before the baby arrived, but backpedaled a little bit. I know that’s normal and I’m not concerned! I was, however, excited that Cottonbabies had created a trainer, because I knew it would be good!

Zoe b Organic Sleepy Hat & Natursutten Pacifier Review & Giveaway (CLOSED 12/29)

I talked about Zoe b Organic last month when I reviewed their fantastic anti-plastic dishes. Zoe b is also the U.S. distributor for Natursutten pacifiers, and they sent me both a Natursutten pacifier and a Zoe b Organic Sleepy Hat.

Natursutten pacifiers are unique, natural rubber pacifiers. Interestingly enough, the protein that can provoke a latex allergy is eliminated during production.

The pacifier’s box is made from FSC certified cardboard, printed with non-toxic soy ink colors and has a window made from corn starch. A small sticker made from rock closes each box. They’ve avoided extra plastic, cardboard and redundant double wrapping.

With a NATURSUTTEN pacifier, you avoid:
• Allergy causing substances
• Artificial color
• Cancer causing substances
• Hormone disturbing substances
• Chemical softeners
• Parabens, PVC and phthalates

Zoe b’s Sleepy Hat is a totally unique hat with a flip-down mask that blocks out light and visual stimulation.

Andrea Verity, the mom originally behind the Sleepy Hat, used to have a lot of trouble getting her son, Ethan, to take naps, especially when they were traveling or visiting family. Starting around 3 months of age, he was much more interested in being awake then going to sleep, no matter how tired he was. Then she used a baby hat to cover her son’s eyes. It instantly cut her exhausting and frustrating sleep-time routine from thirty minutes to five! It also prevented Ethan from waking prematurely. But, after using the regular hat to get Ethan to fall asleep for just a few days, she began to see the need for a better-designed product than a regular baby hat. First, the hat that they were using didn’t have a contour for the nose. Second, it had become stretched, leaving a gap at the eyes and allowing light to come in. Third, she didn’t like having to pull on the hat and shift its position on Ethan’s head, in order to cover his eyes. Finally, they would get funny expressions from people passing by who were wondering why Ethan’s eyes were covered. She wanted a product that would communicate that her baby was having a nap.

After searching for something that fit their needs and coming up empty-handed, Andrea decided to make it herself. Eventually she came up with a hat that looked great, functioned well, and was safe to use. She gave the hat a flip-down mask so that the hat stayed in one place whether the baby was awake or asleep. Finally, she added the graphic of closed eyelashes on the flip-down mask so that others would know that baby was asleep.

We know that some babies fall asleep on their own without fussing. But most do not. Andrea made the Sleepy Hat available to other parents so that they could get some downtime, too.

The hat is designed for babies 3-9 months old, who are able to pull it off if it bothers them. The adjustable top knot and breathable fabric help ensure your baby’s safety, but this product is really designed to block out light & stimulation while you’re on the go and watching your baby.

Madre Labs Mild by Nature Bath Products for Baby – Review & Giveaway (CLOSED 12/22)

Madre Labs creates quality superfoods, personal care and facial care products, as well as their Mild by Nature baby care line.

Each Mild by Nature package has the “No No-Nos” Seal, which means no sulfates, parabens, dyes, animal ingredients or animal testing! The ingredients are considered gentle, biodegradable and “green” and have received good safety ratings. Products are also in eco-friendly packaging. I received the entire product line to review, and one of you will win the same!

Each product was sealed. The products have a light, fruity scent.

The shampoo & body wash is tear free and made with natural oils and extracts. A 12.85 oz bottle retails for $16.95.

Since it doesn’t contain harsh surfectants, the shampoo/body wash doesn’t make huge suds. It was easy to rinse out and left my daughter’s hair soft & clean.

The hair conditioner is gentle and helps detangle hair without weighing it down. A 9 oz bottle retails for $8.95.

It was neither too thick nor too thin and made my daughter’s hair easy to comb without leaving any residue.

The everyday lotion is lightly scented and retails for $12.95 for an 8.8 oz bottle.

It has a nice texture to soften skin without feeling greasy.

The everyday lotion is also available unscented. An 8.8 oz bottle retails for $12.95.

It has all of the gentle emollients & moisturizers without the scent.

The bubble bath is soap free and gentle. A 12.85 oz bottle retails for $13.95.

The bottle says how many capfuls to use to get different amounts of bubbles. I just gave a squirt, then swished the bubbles around, and it made tons of bubbles.

The bitty bottom cream is fragrance free and retails for $13.95 for a 4 oz tube.

Since it contains zinc oxide, make sure you use a liner when using with cloth diapers.

I also received a big bunch of samples of other Madre Labs products and hubby and I are having fun trying them all!
