I received a product at no cost for review purposes. GroVia’s Kiwi Pie fitted diapers are made in the USA using materials also milled in the USA.
The diaper inner is 50% micromodal and 50% pima cotton, with a 100% cotton printed outer. Modal is manufactured similarly to rayon from bamboo, but it is made from beech trees. It is more absorbent and resistant to mineral deposits than cotton.
The diaper snaps down to fit smaller babies, and has snap closures.
The diaper includes two 4-layer soakers that you can use together or separately.
Here is the smaller rise setting measured folded and stretched, before and after prep:
The larger rise setting:
I put my 22ish pound 19 1/2 month old son in the larger rise setting:
You’ll have to forgive the red marks; he’d fallen asleep nursing before I changed him into this, so he ended up with shirt (etc.) marks!
With both inserts, I was able to use the diaper coverless for over an hour before I noticed dampness on the outside. I was surprised by how absorbent the diaper was given how trim it fits!
GroVia Kiwi Pie fitteds are available in adorable prints, and retail for $27 each. The complimentary pull on wool covers retail for $35, and GroVia’s lanolin spray and wool wash bar will help you care for the cover.
