Change-Diapers received a free diaper for review purposes. We were not otherwise compensated for this post, and all opinions are our own. ZCreationz diapers have been handmade in the Los Angeles area by Reina Chavez since 2012. Have you ever wanted to just look at a diaper, maybe cuddle it a little bit because it was so soft and squishy? No? Uhh…me neither. 😉
I’m a little in love with this tossed love print diaper from ZCreationz and holy moly are they ever soft and gorgeous in person.
So what exactly is a hybrid fitted? Well a fitted diaper is one that is wholly absorbent and doesn’t have a waterproof layer. They ususally have gorgeous prints but need a cover to be waterproof. A hybrid fitted adds a hidden layer of fleece to provide a water barrier with complete breathability. It means you can generally use a hybrid fitted without a cover during the day or get extended day and night use with a cover. More details on the anatomy of ZCreationz later!
The fold down rise, hip snaps and overlap allow the diaper to fit babies from 8-40 pounds.
Diapers have a beautiful print outer, stay dry inner and hidden layer of fleece. The Windpro hybrids have heavy duty Windpro fleece both in the body of the diaper and on the back of the booster. Katie says: The diaper’s outer is 95% Cotton/5% Spandex. The hidden layer is 49% Polyester, 36% Nylon and 15% Spandex and the inner is 80% Cotton and 20% Polyester. The Insert is 70% Bamboo Rayon/30% Organic Cotton topped with 80% Cotton and 20% Polyester.

Katie says: I prepped the diaper per the instructions then used it for the daytime first. It worked wonderfully for the day without a cover. We chose a no pants day hanging out inside while trying out the diaper. We were able to get a nice snug fit especially around the legs; the elastic is nice and tight, but also super stretchy. He played around and seemed super comfortable in his diaper.
After getting it washed again, we decided to test it out over night after only using it once during the day. I wanted to get right in to see how well it performed for my heavy wetter. I paired the diaper with some wool pants we have and it was a solid nighttime solution. He ended up sleeping for an extra little bit that night and we still managed to have dry sheets in the morning.
I was extremely impressed with how absorbent it was for nighttime. As much as I love using it for the day, I’ve really been loving it for our nighttime solution. It’s super comfortable for him and so soft.
Hybrid fitteds start at $21 for newborn or $32 for one-size while Windpro hybrid fitteds are $38.50. Shop ZCreationz, “like” ZCreationz on Facebook, follow ZCdiapers on Instagram and follow ZCreationz on Periscope.
