Cloth Diapering

Donate During Diaper Need Awareness Week & You Could Be Rewarded!

Did you know that September 8-14, 2014 is Diaper Need Awareness week? The National Diaper Bank Network began this to raise awareness of families choosing between food, diapers and utilities. Giving Diapers, Giving Hope is a fantastic solution for diaper need. To date, the charity has helped about 600 families and shipped almost 11,000 cloth diapers to qualified families.

During diaper awareness week, we are challenging you to choose one diaper from your stash in good condition (or a new diaper) and donate it to GDGH. Post a photo to Instagram and challenge your friends to do the same.

1. Take a photo of you with a diaper in an envelope addressed to:

GDGH Donations
C/O The Natural Baby Co
1203 North Rouse Unit 3E
Bozeman MT 59715

2. Cover your return address with your hand or a sticker using an app in your phone.
3. Post to Instagram and include the hashtags #givinghope and #diaperneed. Tag 3 friends.
4. Cross your fingers an elf finds you!

What good will your one diaper do? A lot. GDGH relies on donations to continue to ship diapers to qualified families. July saw 700+ diapers shipped to more than 40 families, and we can’t do it without your help.

Kim, GDGH Executive Director and owner of Dirty Diaper Laundry will be randomly selecting some participants to receive goodies from her elves. Goodies will include cloth diapers, accessories, e-gifts and more from companies that support our charity. (I hear there’s a Spence & Marie in there!) Please make sure you have made your profile public so that our elves can find you by searching the #givinghope hashtag on Instagram.

During Diaper Need Awareness week you can also support Giving Diapers, Giving Hope by purchasing items from Super Undies and Eco Nuts who will have a Buy One/Giving One matching promotion.

Photos must be posted during Diaper Need Awareness week, September 8-16.

What a great way to support families in need. Before I knew about modern cloth I witnessed my low income friends struggle to buy diapers, letting the poor baby sit in pee until the posies basically fell off from the weight of pee. I would gift her the giant Costco boxes of posies when I could but I’m broke too. I wish I had know about cloth and this program much sooner 🙁 I donated all I could this morning. Thanks for bring this organization to my attention. All of my extras will be going here from now on !!
