Change-Diapers received a product at no cost for review purposes. I was not otherwise compensated for this post and all opinions are my own. Rump Arounds is based in Canada with designing done in Canada and manufacturing done overseas. I received the Thirsty Rumps one-size diaper to review.
Diapers have 4 rise settings to fit approximately 6.5 to 40 lbs.
There are 4 snaps on each wing – intended to prevent wing droop. Inners are a viscose from bamboo and cotton blend, with double gussets. The pocket opening is in the rear and is elasticized.
As a Canadian company, Rump Arounds does not label their diapers as required by the United States’ CPSIA to include fabric content, date & country of manufacture and batch #. I had to search for this information and ask questions, and I noticed that the site refers to the materials as “bamboo” and “100% bamboo.” These are the fabrics we know as rayon or viscose from bamboo in the U.S. Rump Arounds Diapers are SGS tested & certified.
The diaper includes a 3-layer rayon from bamboo insert. Both Katie & I have heavy wetters, so the insert was enough for daytime, but it needed additional absorbency for nap time or extended wear.
Here’s the XS rise setting:
Here’s my 26ish pound 2 3/4 year old in the medium rise setting:
Here’s Katie’s 22 lb 5 month old also in the medium setting:
Katie loved the soft inner and the double gussets did a great job of keeping messes in. The fit was great on her big guy, though the rise was a bit small.
The Rump Arounds Thirsty Rumps retail for $16 Canadian and you can find many other diaper & accessory styles on their website.
