For nearly the past two years, GroVia and owner Kim Ormsby have offered enormous physical and financial support to Giving Diapers Giving Hope (GDGH). Although I became involved with the organization last year after the partnership began, I feel GDGH simply wouldn’t have made it without them.
We’ve all had that familiar feeling… You run into a child you used to babysit in the grocery store, and they are excited to tell you about what college they got into, leaving you feeling suddenly aged and a little bewildered. Or, you are catching up on Facebook, seeing a fun post about your old favorite breakfast cereals, fashion trends and music when you realize the title of the article is “archived hits from the past!.” Grrr…
qdSpray Portable Cloth Diaper Sprayer Review
I purchased this item myself. I was not asked to write, nor was I compensated for this post, and all opinions are my own. Post contains affiliate links. I’ve heard so often that a diaper sprayer is a “must have” cloth diapering accessory. In fact, many families consider it a necessity, not a luxury. After 5.5 years of cloth diapering without one, I’ve finally tried a sprayer or more specifically, the qdSpray portable cloth diaper sprayer.
Oh hey, thanks for stopping by to read this. Just wanted to mention that I paid for these products myself and I wasn’t asked to write, nor was I compensated for this post in any way. Cloth diaper detergent is an important issue for me and I just wanted to share. All opinions are my own! 🙂
Washing cloth diapers can be a hot button issue, and choosing a cloth diaper detergent is a polarizing subject. I’ve been a loyal Tide user for 5 of my 5 1/2 years of cloth diapering and weathered the change to the Ultra formula and Tide with Actilift. So what made me break up with Tide? The recent scent change, which they denied to me but confirmed to others. I even tried opening the box to air it out but I just couldn’t do it. Sorry Tide, you had to go. I tried Gain but it wasn’t love. I’d heard a lot about Persil Pro Clean Power Pearls and decided to give it a try. Move over Tide, there’s a new cloth diaper detergent in my laundry room!
After sitting in on part of the diaper service day at the RDIA conference (before ABC) last year, I realized how little I really know about diaper services, and I’m sure I’m not the only one. For the past 5 years, Emily Weixler McCay has been the fairy behind the Louisville area diaper service that is anything but ordinary. Emily agreed to take some time out of her busy schedule to give us a peek behind the scenes of a diaper service, and answer all my questions.
